A video of Union Minister and LJP (Ram Vilas) chief Chirag Paswan speaking to the media about Bihar's law and order is being shared as his response to recent cases of sexual harassment against women in the state. PTI Fact Check rated the claim misleading. The video is genuine, but it is from July 2025, before the Bihar Assembly elections, when Paswan criticised the law and order situation under the then Nitish Kumar government. On July 26, 2025, although his party was an NDA ally, he said he regretted having to support the government and alleged that the police had "surrendered" before criminals. The JD(U) responded at the time that the government was committed to the rule of law. Sharing the old clip as a fresh reaction to current events misleads viewers about what he said and when, and it shows how old political videos are often recycled when new controversies break out.
