Fact-checkers have traced the video shared by the X handle “MATT” (@MatRZ313) on October 15, 2026, which claimed that a European woman was mobbed by Indian men and called India one of the most dangerous countries for women. The clip is from Holi 2025 in Mumbai. The woman is Bollywood actress Sherlyn Chopra, not a foreign tourist. Verified Instagram accounts filmygyan and instantbollywood posted the footage on March 14 and 15, 2025, with captions such as “Sherlyn Chopra gets mobbed by fans for selfies at Holi!”. A “Juhu” street sign is visible in the background, and the men around her have Holi colours on their faces. The posts together drew well over 1.9 lakh likes.
