The viral clip, shared by the X account @areyrshree with the caption “Gujrat Files” and the on-screen title “Narender Modi – Epstein Files Secret”, has been found in a longer version posted on Facebook by Rajesh Murjani on October 12, 2021. That 30-second video shows the same room, with an old CRT television in the corner, and Modi, in a light blue kurta, standing for a photograph between a man in white and a woman in a black floral sari. It is an ordinary photo-op. The post drew about 2,000 views at the time. The US Justice Department began releasing Epstein-related documents only in late 2025, and there are no credible reports of this or any other video of PM Modi in those files. The Ministry of External Affairs has said the only reference to him in the files was an email about his official 2017 visit to Israel. The viral post cut a few seconds from an old, publicly available video and added an “Epstein Files” label to suggest scandal. Such claims should be traced to the original footage before being shared.
