Fact-checkers have traced the viral clip to a YouTube Short uploaded on October 6, 2026, by the channel @Sudhastoryfact, which posts fantasy story content. The short is titled “Sanjana pandey ka shooting scene” with hashtags such as #bhojpuri, #shortvideo and #shootday. YouTube’s “How this was made” label shows it was created with the platform’s “Green screen” effect, which means the fire ring and the woman hanging from the tree were digitally composited and not real. The original post had only about 970 views before it was taken out of context and shared widely as genuine footage. Dramatic clips made with editing effects or from film shoots are often passed off as real superstition or atrocity stories from India, so their original source and how they were made should be checked before they are shared.
